The Testo CxHy Sensor (Type THCi) is a high-quality methane sensor designed for accurate detection of hydrocarbons in flue gas applications. Optimized for CH4 (methane), this CxHy Replacement Sensor delivers reliable and precise readings for methane, propane, and butane levels in various industrial settings.
Key Features:
- Measures methane from 100 to 40,000 ppm with a resolution of 10 ppm
- Precalibrated and adjusted to CH4 for quick installation
- Easy on-site replacement with no extra tools required
- Compatible with Testo flue gas analyzers
- Suitable for environments with at least 2% O₂ in flue gas
This methane gas sensor ensures consistent performance, making it a trusted solution for technicians who need dependable results. Ideal for use as a CH4 methane gas detector, this sensor is built for durability, accuracy, and ease of use.
Delivery Scope
1 x CxHy replacement sensor.
Please note:
For one-off activation of the measurement parameter in the flue gas analyzer, you need the CxHy retrofit sensor. If the retrofit sensor has to be replaced, use the CxHy replacement sensor.
An O2 content in the flue gas of a least 2% is needed for measurement with the sensor.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The CxHy sensor is used to detect and measure hydrocarbons such as methane, propane, and butane in flue gas. It is especially optimized as a CH4 methane gas detector for industrial applications.
Yes, this methane gas sensor is precalibrated and designed for easy on-site replacement. Simply plug it into your compatible Testo flue gas analyzer — no special tools needed.
The CH4 detector can measure methane from 100 to 40,000 ppm, propane up to 21,000 ppm, and butane up to 18,000 ppm with a resolution of 10 ppm, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
Yes, an oxygen content of at least 2% in the flue gas is required for accurate measurements with this methane detector. For initial activation, a CxHy retrofit sensor is needed, and afterward, this CxHy Replacement Sensor can be used for replacements.
